Caroline Bellamy is the Ministry of Defence’s first Chief Data Officer. She spearheaded Defence’s first Data Strategy and is committed to ensuring that Defence adapts to a new way of working with data to realise its military and department of state insights, decision and outcomes. She is on the Technology Strategy Advisory Board for The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, a CIO Advisory Board member for VMWare, and an Advisory Board Member for Kubrik. Caroline has extensive industry experience where she has worked within the FTSE 100 leading significant digital and data transformations helping lead organisations and unlock the power of data and digital capabilities to realise commercial, military outcomes, and citizen benefits. She has been named as one of most influential people in Technology 2024 (Computer Weekly) and in data (DataIQ), A recipient of the Top 20 Women in Data and Technology (Women in Data) and top 100 Global Data Visionaries (Truata).
